مجموعة مختارة من رواد الفكر والأدب من أكاديميين وقادة رأي الذين يعملون للإخاء الإنساني، ويؤمنون بالأسرة الإنسانية الواحدة، ويقدمون نتاجاً فكرياً وعلمياً ومجتمعياً في خدم هذه الغايات.

تأسس مركز الدراسات لبحوث الإخاء الإنساني في مدينة الشارقة بالإمارات، ضمن جهود الإمارة لتكون مركزاً ثقافياً ومعرفياً في الخليج العربي، وذلك بالقرار رقم ( 4205096.01 ) تاريخ(14 نوفمبر 2022)  وتنص أهداف تأسيسه على نشر البحوث والدراسات والكتب والمجلات العلمية.

 

وتتجه نية المركز لإطلاق موقع علمي لرصد بحوث الإخاء الإنساني ومجلة محكمة متخصصة في الإخاء الإنساني، ونظراً لما عرف عنكم من سعة اطلاع وخبرة عميقة في دراسات الإخاء الإنساني فإننا نتطلع إلى موافقتكم على تسميتكم في الهيئة الاستشارية للمجلة والموقع، خلال عامي 2023-2024

Dr. Azza Karam

Dr. Azza Karam is secretary general of Religions for Peace International and professor of religion and development at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Previously, she served as a senior advisor on culture at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA); coordinator/chair of the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on Religion and Development; senior policy research advisor at the United Nations Development Program in the Regional Bureau for Arab States; and president of the Committee of Religious NGOs at the United Nations. She is the lead facilitator for the United Nations’ Strategic Learning Exchanges on Religion, Development and Diplomacy, building on a legacy of serving as a trainer cum facilitator of intercultural leadership and management in the Arab region as well as Europe and Central Asia.

Dr. Ali Watfa

Ali Watfa is a Syrian academic and linguist. He worked at Kuwait University for several decades, issued a large number of scientific works, and runs an important enlightening program through a peer-reviewed journal entitled Criticism and Enlightenment.

He holds a PhD in educational sociology from the University of Cannes in France in 1988. He obtained a master’s degree in education and sociology from the same university in 1983, and a BA in philosophy and sociology from the University of Damascus in 1979. He works as an associate professor in the Department of Fundamentals of Education at the Faculty of Education. Education at Kuwait University since 1997. He worked as a professor of educational sociology at the Faculty of Education at Damascus University in the period 1988-1997, where he held a number of administrative positions.

He has a number of published books, including: “The Structure of Authority and the Problem of Educational Authoritarianism in the Arab World” (Beirut: Center for Arab Unity Studies, 1999); and “Educational Sociology and Contemporary Life Issues” (Kuwait: Al-Falah Library, 1988); And “Educational Sociology” (Damascus: Al-Wahda Press, Damascus University, 1992). He also translated a number of books, including: Emile Durkheim, “Education and Society” (Damascus: Dar Al-Wasim, 1991); Alex Micheli, “Identity” (Damascus: Dar Al-Wasim, 1993); and Jean Claudeville, “The Unconscious” (Damascus: Dar Al-Ma’ad, 1995). He also published several studies in Arab periodicals and newspapers.

Abdul Jabbar al Rifai

An Iraqi religious scholar leads an enlightening current within the scientific seminary in Najaf, and a professor of Islamic philosophy. Born in Dhi Qar – Iraq, in 1954. He holds several academic degrees, including a Ph., 1988, and an Agricultural Technical Diploma, 1975. He has a philosophical vision on reform and the methods of religious thinking, in recognition of the mission undertaken by the Journal of Contemporary Islamic Issues (which he founded and headed editor).

In building a new science of theology and philosophy of religion in the Arabic language, and as the most important periodical specialized in religions in Arabic, the “Pontifical Institute in Rome of the Vatican” devoted its annual book in 2012 to this magazine. Contemporary Islamic Issues is a quarterly intellectual magazine concerned with building the philosophy of religion and the science of new theology. It was founded and edited by Abd al-Jabbar al-Rifai nearly a quarter of a century ago, and it is still published today.

Dr. Abdul-Jabbar wrote a number of scientific works, and his works achieved a wide spread, and among his most prominent works are:

Dr. Fawzi al Ghazali

An Egyptian scientist majoring in linguistics and social and political studies from the University of Salford, then majoring in a Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

He worked in the academic field, and became Vice President of Al Hosn University, then Dean of the College of Social and Human Studies at Al Madinah University in Ajman.

He published a number of specialized research papers in social and linguistic studies, including 54-refereed research, all his research is in English, and some of it has been translated into Arabic.

Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia 2004, then Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford until 2011, then Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Abu Dhabi University until 2015

Dr. Al-Jarrah achieved successive scientific successes, especially in his specialization in the field of mathematics. He also contributed during his work at Abu Dhabi University to a number of human fraternity programs.

Dr. Radwan Al-Jarrah Announces Retirement from SWOSU 12.22.2011 Dr. Radwan Al-Jarrah, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, has announced that he will retire from the university effective March 1, 2012. Dr. Al-Jarrah joined the SWOSU faculty as a professor of mathematics in 1991. He was selected as the chair of the Department of Mathematics in 1995 and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in 2004. Prior to his position at SWOSU, he served on the mathematics faculties of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia and Yarmouk University in Jordan and as a visiting professor at Ohio State University. During his career, he remained active in mathematics research that included approximation theory, orthogonal polynomials and numerical analysis. SWOSU Provost Dr. Blake Sonobe said Dr. Al-Jarrah provided significant academic leadership throughout his career at SWOSU and will be greatly missed.

Associate Professor at the College of Democratic Islam at the University of Rojava in northern Syria.

Dr. Zaghourani leads an enlightenment current at the academic and popular levels in northern Syria and Turkey, and adopts a project of religious reform and the revival of mystical values in Islam.

Ali Ahmad Said Esber

A poet, critic and academic, one of the most prominent Arab thinkers, a Syrian-Lebanese-French thinker, who became famous as Adonis, the Phoenician legend.

He was born on January 1, 1930), was born in the village of Qasabin in the city of Jableh in Syria.

He has been repeatedly invited as a visiting professor to universities and research centers in France, Switzerland, the United States and Germany. He received a number of international awards and titles of honor, and his works have been translated into thirteen languages. He is a member of many advisory and scientific bodies in the world.

Adonis’s publications include twenty volumes of poetry and thirteen volumes of criticism. He has dozens of books translated into Arabic, including the poetry of Saint John Perse and Yves Bonvois, and the first complete Arabic translation of Ovid’s Metamorphoses (2002). His multi-volume anthology of Arabic poetry (“Diwan al-Sha’ar al-‘Arabi”) has been reprinted more than once since its publication in 1964, and covers nearly two thousand years of poetry. His scientific and literary works exceeded about a hundred books>

Dr. Abd al-Rahman Badrakhan is a professor at the Faculty of Religious Sciences in al-Hasakah

Adopts the project of democratic Islam, and ways of developing religious discourse in line with the needs of the times, and calls for developing the tools of Islamic jurisprudence in accordance with the democratic needs of the nation

He also actively participates in the Naqshbandi mystical movement in northern Syria, in which tens of thousands of devotees and adherents of the mystical behavior participate.

Professor of Doctrines at the Faculty of Jurisprudence Studies at Al al-Bayt University, Jordan.

Deputy Director of the Royal Institute for Religious Studies, a Jordanian researcher and academic, he held the position of editor-in-chief of the Jordanian Journal of Islamic Studies, and head of the Department of Fundamentals of Religion at Al al-Bayt University.

Among his most important books:

Ibn Rushd in Christian theology, love of neighbor in Islam, fundamentalisms in religions, political parties in Israel, worship in religions, introduction to the Babylonian Talmud, Islam’s view of other religions, Islam and religions from dialogue to fundamentalism.

He led an important social struggle to defend human rights. He was arrested for five years and released in 2010, where he started an instinctive and political activity in the framework of human rights.

He was elected co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council 2017

He has published several studies on religious reform and the culture of freedom

Syrian writer and researcher, writes on reforming religious thought, member of the Global Forum for Democratic Islam.

The Syrian thinker Ahmed Al-Ramah actively participates in religious reform programs and has published several well-reviewed studies on religious reform and human rights

He runs a center for studies specializing in the affairs of the Middle East and North Africa, and he achieves a remarkable presence on social media as the most influential voice in confronting traditional and populist currents.

Firas Al-Sawah is a Syrian writer, thinker, and researcher in mythology and the history of religions. He was born in Homs, Syria, in 1941.[3] He was a professor at Beijing Foreign Studies University. Since 1976, he has been studying Arab civilization and the history of religions in the Near East. He published 26 books on myths, history, and the history of religions

Firas Al-Sawah was born into a Hamoui Azhar family. His father, Ahmad Nawras Al-Sawah, was a teacher and journalist. He has three brothers, Sahban, Wael and Bashar, and a married sister. Firas obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Damascus.

Dr. Rafida Habash

Writer and jurist from Syria

Rafida Habash graduated from the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Damascus, then obtained a PhD from the University of the Holy Qur’an in Khartoum. She was particularly active in religious education in Hama, Syria, and achieved remarkable success in promoting the religious awareness movement in Hama.

She left Syria with the onset of the recent events, and became active in the Arab media. Iqraa TV channel has been presenting successive programs for it for ten years, and its programs are still shown on the channel and achieve high viewership.

Dr. Mahmoud Kaftaro

A  jurist and academic specializing in Islamic law and dialogue of religions, worked in the field of teaching and assumed the position of dean of the Islamic Call College in Damascus, and director of the Sheikh Ahmed Kaftaro Islamic Complex.

He managed the work of his father, Sheikh Ahmed Kaftaro, for forty years in Islamic unity and brotherhood of religions, and accompanied him on most of his international visits.

He currently lives between Damascus and Beirut, and he is the head of Dar Nadwat Al Ulama Cultural Center in Damascus.

يارا البرازي

Yara Barazi

An academic, translator, and researcher in Middle Eastern affairs, specializing in Islamic theology, extremism, and modernity.

She holds a master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies and International Relations from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Where I worked on research dealing with modern Islamic history and the modern history of Syria. She also works as a consultant on Middle East affairs at an independent think tank in London, where she undertakes regional research on Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. She has many articles and studies on the sectarian conflict in and around Syria.

Contributes to joint academic programs with the Dutch government dealing with religious and social reform to enhance understanding and brotherhood between religions in the Netherlands.

She also holds a master’s degree in translation from Damascus University. She actively contributed to the transfer of innovative Arab thought and modern Arabic literature to the English language while working as a literary consultant for publishing houses in London and New York. It has eleven translations into Arabic that include philosophical and literary works, including:

عالم دين عراقي، يقود تياراً تنويرياً داخل الحوزة العلمية في النجف الأشرف وأستاذ فلسفة إسلامية، مواليد ذي قار – العراق، سنة 1954.حاصل على عدة شهادات أكاديمية منها دكتوراه فلسفة إسلامية، بتقدير امتياز، 2005، وماجستير علم كلام، 1990، وبكالوريوس دراسات إسلامية، 1988، ودبلوم فني زراعي، 1975. وله رؤية فلسفية حول الإصلاح ومناهج التفكير الديني، اعترافًا بالمهمة التي نهضت بها مجلةُ قضايا إسلامية معاصرة (والتي أسسها ويرأس تحريرها)، في بناء علم الكلام الجديد وفلسفة الدين باللغة العربية، وبوصفها الدوريةَ الأهمّ المتخصصة في الأديان بالعربية خصّص “المعهد البابوي في روما التابع للفاتيكان” كتابَه السنوي عام 2012 لهذه المجلة. وقضايا إسلامية معاصرة مجلة فكرية فصلية تهتم ببناء فلسفة الدين وعلم الكلام الجديد، أسّسها ويحرّرهاعبد الجبار الرفاعي منذ ربع قرن تقريبًا، ومازالت تصدر حتى اليوم

Malkhaz Songulashvili

Dr. Malkhaz Songulashvili was born into a Baptist family in 1963. His father was Minister and Superintendent of the Tbilisi Region. His grandmother was a lay preacher in Soviet times. Songulashvili graduated from Tbilisi State University and taught at the same university for 18 years. He completed his doctoral dissertation in the UK through the Oxford Center of Mission Studies under the supervision of Prof Paul Fiddes. Songulashvili worked as a Bible translator for the Georgian Orthodox Church and the United Bible Societies for 28 years. He also served the Evangelical Baptist Church of Georgia as its leading Archbishop for 19 years, but resigned from the post in 2013 because of his stance on Homophobia and Islamophobia. In 2014, Songulashvili was appointed the associate professor in comparative theology at Ilia State University in Tbilisi, Georgia. Presently, Songulashvili is the diocesan Bishop of Tbilisi and head of Peace Cathedral in Tbilisi. He teaches both at the university and the Baptist Theological Academy. He has been active is reconciliation and peace work among Christians, Muslims and Jews, and has also been involved in justice and freedom work both nationally and internationally. Songulashvili holds a number of honorary titles and awards, including the Golden Cross, presented by Patriarch Bartholomew, Istanbul, 1993; Ecumenical Canon of Norwich Cathedral, Norwich, 2005; Ecumenical Canon of Wakefield Cathedral, Wakefield, 2006; Lambeth Cross by Archbishop of Canterbury, London, 2006; Order of St George by Patriarch Philaret of Kiev and All-Ukraine, Kiev, 2008; Cross of Nails by Bishop of Coventry, Coventry, 2010; Order of Christ the Savior by Patriarch Philaret of Kiev and All-Ukraine, Kiev, 2011; Honorary Citizen of Tbilisi, by the Mayor of Tbilisi, Tbilisi, 2013; Order of St Nicolas by the President of Georgia, Tbilisi, 2013; Pro Fide 2014 Award, by the Friends of the Martyred Church, Helsinki, 2014. He was repeatedly invited as a visiting professor to universities and research centers in France, Switzerland, the United States, and Germany.

He has received a number of international awards and honors, and his works have been translated into thirteen languages. He is a member of many advisory and scientific bodies around the world.

Adonis’s publications include twenty volumes of poetry and thirteen volumes of criticism. He has dozens of books translated into Arabic, including the poetry of Saint John Perse and Yves Bonnefoy, and the first complete Arabic translation of Ovid’s book “Metamorphoses” (2002).

His multi-volume anthology of Arabic poetry (“The Diwan of Arabic Poetry”) has been reprinted more than once since its publication in 1964, and covers nearly two thousand years of poetry.
