He works as an associate professor in the Department of Fundamentals of Education at the Faculty of Education. Education at Kuwait University since 1997. He worked as a professor of educational sociology at the Faculty of Education at Damascus University in the period 1988-1997, where he held a number of administrative positions.<\/p><p>He has a number of published books, including: \u201cThe Structure of Authority and the Problem of Educational Authoritarianism in the Arab World\u201d (Beirut: Center for Arab Unity Studies, 1999); and &#8220;Educational Sociology and Contemporary Life Issues&#8221; (Kuwait: Al-Falah Library, 1988); And &#8220;Educational Sociology&#8221; (Damascus: Al-Wahda Press, Damascus University, 1992). He has a philosophical vision on reform and the methods of religious thinking, in recognition of the mission undertaken by the Journal of Contemporary Islamic Issues (which he founded and headed editor).<\/p><p>In building a new science of theology and philosophy of religion in the Arabic language, and as the most important periodical specialized in religions in Arabic, the \u201cPontifical Institute in Rome of the Vatican\u201d devoted its annual book in 2012 to this magazine. Contemporary Islamic Issues is a quarterly intellectual magazine concerned with building the philosophy of religion and the science of new theology. Songulashvili was born into a Baptist family in 1963.\n\nHis father was Minister and Superintendent of the Tbilisi Region. His grandmother was a lay preacher in Soviet times.\n\nSongulashvili graduated from Tbilisi State University and taught at the same university for 18 years.\n\nHe completed his doctoral dissertation in the UK through the Oxford Center of Mission Studies under the supervision of Prof Paul Fiddes.\n\nSongulashvili worked as a Bible translator for the Georgian Orthodox Church and the United Bible Societies for 28 years. He also served the Evangelical Baptist Church of Georgia as its leading Archbishop for 19 years, but resigned from the post in 2013 because of his stance on Homophobia and Islamophobia.\n\nIn 2014, Songulashvili was appointed the associate professor in comparative theology at Ilia State University in Tbilisi, Georgia.\n\nPresently, Songulashvili is the diocesan Bishop of Tbilisi and head of Peace Cathedral in Tbilisi.\n\nHe teaches both at the university and the Baptist Theological Academy.\n\nHe has been active is reconciliation and peace work among Christians, Muslims and Jews, and has also been involved in justice and freedom work both nationally and internationally.\n\nSongulashvili holds a number of honorary titles and awards, including the Golden Cross, presented by Patriarch Bartholomew, Istanbul, 1993; \n\nEcumenical Canon of Norwich Cathedral, Norwich, 2005; \n\nEcumenical Canon of Wakefield Cathedral, Wakefield, 2006; \n\nLambeth Cross by Archbishop of Canterbury, London, 2006; Order of St George by Patriarch Philaret of Kiev and All-Ukraine, Kiev, 2008;\n\nCross of Nails by Bishop of Coventry, Coventry, 2010; Order of Christ the Savior by Patriarch Philaret of Kiev and All-Ukraine, Kiev, 2011;\n\nHonorary Citizen of Tbilisi, by the Mayor of Tbilisi, Tbilisi, 2013; Order of St Nicolas by the President of Georgia, Tbilisi, 2013;\n\nPro Fide 2014 Award, by the Friends of the Martyred Church, Helsinki, 2014. critic, and academic, one of the most prominent Arab thinkers, a Syrian-Lebanese-French thinker known as Adonis, the Phoenician legend.<\/p><p>He was born on January 1, 1930. In the village of Qasabin in the city of Jableh in Syria.<\/p><p>He was repeatedly invited as a visiting professor to universities and research centers in France, Switzerland, the United States, and Germany.<\/p><p>He has received a number of international awards and honors, and his works have been translated into thirteen languages. He is a member of many advisory and scientific bodies around the world.<\/p><p>Adonis&#8217;s publications include twenty volumes of poetry and thirteen volumes of criticism.
